The South of somewhere" isn't a story about the Mediterranean shores : through disembodied pictures - figuring an human presence - I have looked for a representation of this special light and its unique density: its deep shadows, its ability to restless show off the heat, making us feel its cold heaviness with no mercy. A dark light.

Climate and geometry brutality match each other, with overwhelming lines that are barely modified by a few curves. As one of those the sea plays a major role, especially for islanders, by, at the same time, isolating the land and letting the wider world get in, while simultaneously providing strength and weakness.

However, this isn't all about it. "The South of somewhere" depicts a quest, an introspection towards one's own South, one's intimate South. A sophisticated and deep initiatory journey of some sort into one's own warm feelings, darknesses, oddities.
